Nikhef is a partnership between the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research and six different universities in the Netherlands. Nikhef is the National Institute for Subatomic Physics, international research is conducted into the elementary building blocks of our universe, their mutual forces and the structure of space and time.
n 2019, we realized a completely new Cleanroom of approximately 65 m² in the Nikhef building at the Watergraafsmeer Scientific Center, Science Park 105 in Amsterdam. The Cleanroom is equipped with FFUs and a stand-alone AHU which jointly achieves an ISO 14644 class 6 (at rest). The activities were jointly realized by Kuijpers PHF Services and Brecon Cleanroom Systems B.V. in conjunction with partners WERO for cleaning and Camfil for supplying the FFUs.
The walls are constructed with the Brecon modular MOM wall system and the walkable BPM 100 ceiling system.
In the spring of 2021, we were commissioned to realize an extra PAL (passenger lock) directly adjacent to the cleanroom. This small expansion was also successfully carried out and realized under cleanroom conditions by the Kuijpers PHF Services and Brecon Cleanroom Systems B.V.
